This 5-day immersion course explores the three core subjects of Dalcroze: Eurhythmics, the study of the elements of music through body movements; Solfège, ear training and musical literacy; and Improvisation, spontaneous musical expression using the piano and voice.
This Foundation Level course is intended for beginning and intermediate Dalcroze students, and may be used toward credit hours required for Certification Training in Canada.

The Facultad de Música of the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León in Monterrey, México will hold an international Music Education Conference with emphasis in Dalcroze Eurhythmics on August 1-3rd, 2012. The Dalcroze Institute in Geneva is the international special-guest institution.

Taking place in Chiusi (Siena) from August 21 to August 26, the course deals with the main branches of the method: eurhythmics, solfège, improvisation and pedagogy. The aim is to “develop musicianship furthering at the same time individual growth and group welfare”.

This year’s course is to be held from Monday, July 2nd to Friday, July 6th.
Participants are invited to select a group: Initiation (beginners) or Progressive (advanced).
The registration fee is CHF750 (CHF600 for students) for both groups. You can register until May 31st.
