Back to the roots
At the end of October, a group of 35 Japanese rhythmics teachers, led by Akihiko Mabuchi and Akira Sugimoto, set out on a tour of the roots of the rhythmics movement.
On their studying and sightseeing tour they visited the three most important places in the life of Emile Jaques-Dalcroze: Geneva, Vienna and Hellerau near Dresden.

Robert Abramson, legendary master Dalcroze teacher, died Tuesday afternoon, July 22, 2008 in New York City.
A legend of the world of Eurhythmics has passed away. All rhythmicians know of him, even if they have never met him.

Remembering Mr.Yasushi Itano
It is my very sad duty to announce that Mr. Itano had passed away on the 17th of July at the age of 80. He had been ill for some time.
Mr. Itano was born in Horoshima and studied Eurhythmics at The New York Dalcroze School under Hilda Schuster (1951-1956).
He was the first Dalcroze License holder in Japan.
He contributed to the basis of Japanese Dalcroze World, built up the Eurhythmics course at Kunitachi College of Music in Tokyo, and produced many Eurhythmics teachers. He had (...)

The new Dalcroze Hall in Hellerau near Dresden, Germany
The Institute Rhythmik Hellerau, a member of FIER with headquarters in the Hellerau Festival Building, where Dalcroze taught and developed his method from 1911 to 1914, has begun a fund-raising campaign to renovate the newly-renamed Dalcroze Hall.
