The fifth European Rhythmics Congress October 09, Vienna , Austria
Invitation pour le 5ème Congres Européen de la Rythmique à Vienne, Autriche
Invitation to the European Rhythmics Congress, Vienna 2009
"Time in Motion" As announced at the last Rythmics Congress in Trossingen (Germany), the
next European Rythmics Congress will take place from Monday, October
5th till Thursday, October 8th in Vienna. On the same occasion we
welcome you to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Department of Rhythmics at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, which motivates the colleagues oht University of Music in Vienna to take a look at the past. But examination of what has been also gives rise to questions of what is to come. In which direction will rhythmics move in the Europe of the future?
The German title, "Bewegte Zeiten", also means time to be alive - and aware, this is especially appropriate to rhythmics. Sensory awareness, movement and musicality are skills mankind uses to perceive the world, to enter into relationships and to express what is experienced in life. "Time in Motion" offers occasion for an intensive professional exchange. The congress gives an interesting selection of topics and subjects taught in rhythmics departments in Europe today. In workshops and lectures, numerous special guests will offer insights into their work and teaching. Artistic selections of various educational institutions will be performed in three evening sessions. Several discussion forums will serve as opportunities for exchange of information and ideas. Das Team der Musik- und Bewegungserziehung/Rhythmik an der Universität für Musik und Darstellende Kunst möchte alle Rhythmikerinnen recht herzlich zum fünften Europäischen Rhythmikkongress
